    as of monday I am now working part time for Mark Highsmith... the only fulltime gunsmith left in central indiana.... Hopefully if all goes well i can learn the YEARS of knowledge he has accumulated, and maybe one day branch off and do my own thing.

    Cool! I'll remember this when I need a good smith!

    That would be Mark... definatly not me... the 40 hours i have spent there so far have been VERY VERY humbling. He proves that gunsmithing truly is an art.... he has a way of just touching a gun and making it better... if you guys are wanting any work done thats beyond your abilities he is DEFINATLY the way to go...

    Does he specialize in anything or is he a generalist?

    Where is he located? I have a Garand that needs a barrel installed (I have the barrel) and I usually use G. Corn (great M1/ M14 guy) but its a couple hour drive each way for me.
