I'm just really curious really. How much ammo would you say you go threw in a year? Lets say before this stuff happened and pre crap that happened?

    Before the craze:

Couple thousand .22 (between plinking, hunting, AR .22 practice)

    Maybe 750-1000 9mm.

    400-500 .45acp

    Around 1000 .223/5.56

    Around 1000 7.62x39

Well over a thousand 12ga. of all varieties. ~75% birdshot for skeet and trap.

Add in all others such as .38, 7x57 Mauser, etc., etc. probably about another 1000.

Now that the craze has been going on my shooting thus far is about a 1/4 that it was previously. If that.

Just a damned minute, I told my family I was done with this crap!!:xmad:

    No more ambush style interventions.

It all starts out with "how much ammo do you shoot in a year?". Then it's "how much does that cost per round". Then it's all "we made a list of things you could have bought with the money you spend on ammo in a year alone".

It's my life, I'll live it as I see fit. QUIT HAMMERING ME!!!

My son, his family and I share all our firearms and ammo. We probably go through 4 to 6 thousand rounds a year, quite a bit of High power (30-30, .243, 30-06 - 308, 8mm 7.5x55 etc.) and 5.56 , a LOT of 45 ACP, 38/357, 9mm, etc. and a little .380, 22 mag, 22 LR. and dependent on whims can go through a lot of 12 trap loads. Most of what we shoot we reload. We actually have over 30 different calibers and shoot some of all - though not every year.

I unload around 5000 rounds of 9mm, 45ACP, 22LR combined per year. I've just started on 45Colt so that number might go up some, but lack of 22LR will probably bring it down.

Just looking into reloading equipment. Are you having just as hard a time finding reloading supplies lately and approximately how much do you think you save reloading?

Not much lately. Age related no doubt. I have sold off all my reloading equipment. Shot a lot of 45ACP had a Dillon SD set up just for that alone. More 22lr than I kept track of.

    9mm ~ 2000 rds
7.62x54r ~ 3500 rds (Gotta feed the Mosins)
    .45acp ~ 500 rds
    .22LR ~ 3000 rds

About 9000 rounds total per year for me. Unless I happen upon a really good deal at a shop I almost always buy ammo FTF.
