I wondered that too. I don’t know, but it crossed my mind that the guys that sell a high volume of guns on the site without ever posting might get asked to be a Hobbyist at some point.

The hobbyist is a person that buys/sells/builds etc more than the avg member. So we dont push them being an advertiser/vendor on the site. If you make 6 knives a year and sell them is that an actual business or are you a hobbyist.
It is just another tier in the site badge you have.

Ahhh, so if i 3D printed some ammo boxes for those of us who buy build loose ammo and sold them here could i be a hobbyist? I thought about being an advertiser but i ran the numbers and i cant print fast enough to make it doable without unfair prices. It would be a low volume thing, just sell what i choose to print when i feel like printing it. Maybe 3-5 sales a month. Also filament is $30-$50 for a 1kg spool. It definitely wouldn't be very profitable if at all with my 1 printer.

    Some things i make:
    AEFBA819-CA16-487D-BCB1-A69AAD9024DA.jpeg AR15 stand (22hours)
    9DBCFB99-381E-4437-94DD-8FDA60085738.jpeg Glock stands (6.5-7 hours)
C457DFB8-6BBA-4FEF-89EB-129852CB908A.jpeg Wall pistol mag holder (4 hours) D0C8FAD6-0734-4952-9A58-B91E5A7F9761.jpeg 3FE122D8-A20A-48DC-A392-3C47AE4E1D9B.jpeg Modular AR mag holder (8 hours per 4 place center, an hour and half ish a peice for end caps) 63193531-DA85-4EF1-B53B-CFFBF9182204.jpeg ammo boxed in the back (they have lids just not in said pic) (about 10 hours per box and lid)

And some non firearm stuff 1D781737-6D47-40E4-BDC7-5CFDCB8AB69A.jpeg Modular Mill table slot covers (took about a week of solid printing for a 30x50 5 slot table) 9B8BB297-9DC1-4942-9EFE-DE7919C3511C.jpeg Pineapple planter for my Aloe plant. (32 hour print)

Disclaimer: This is not an Advertisement so dont PM me asking me to print stuff... yet.
