I have a Henry 22 that I would like to add a sling to. The instructions state to remove the feed tube from the receiver to install the front sling attachment. I can't seem to get it loos at all. My question is does it screw into the receiver or it appears there are a couple of pins that hold it in maybe. Does anyone know for sure which it is? Tried the Henry forums with no luck. The sling kit is from Uncle Mike's. Thanks :dunno:

To remove the tube on my 45-70 and 44mag I there is a small set screw on the receiver. Goes under the receiver about a half a inch from the tube edge. Mine was a slot screw. #1 you'll have to remove the front sight base. Remove the lower screw then twist back and forth, It slides out.

    The screws are loctited
