Hawk and turkey

Out hunting this AM and had a large hawk land in the tree next to the brush pile I was using as a blind. It's attention was focused on my turkey decoy about 25 yards away. After a few minutes if flew to a tree directly over the decoy and continued to observe the decoy before flying away. I've never seen this before, any other hunters observe hawks hunting turkeys?

Had them come in and check out the deke, never got super close though.
Have had them come to hen calls (no deke).
Had an owl a time or two also (Great Horned- my old spot had some whoppers!)

Last yr, public ground, no deke...............large redtail came in and set up about 50 yards out.

I had one perch over my decoys on Wed. He stayed for 5 min or so. First time I have used turkey decoys.

I had my decoy swooped by a red tail. I thought he was gonna grab it. Cheap foam decoy, nothing fancy.
