Has the price for ammo *shipping* went up a lot?

Looking to pick up a couple of cases and was completely shocked at what several online vendors wanted for shipping.

I know the price of ammo itself is generally "up" but the shipping really surprised me.

I see these guys have a store front in Greenwood, may have to make a trip.

First, Who isnt buying mail order by the case or more? That typically gets you free shipping.

And if you want sub-case levels of something to try, bundle it with a case of target ammo. I did that for some defensive ammo and it worked out great! Its not like ammo goes bad and you'll have to throw what's left away.

Shipping is going up everywhere. I placed an order at Grafs today with a stern note to combine my items into ONE box. Last order I got was three under packed boxes and it cost me $80 to ship. Laziness is costing a lot these days.

All depends on who you're dealing with. I placed an order with Tombstone Tactical in January and the shipping was only $9.99 - email from them indicated my 5 items were shipping from 3 different locations; turns out they actually shipped from 4 places! Gotta wonder how they made any profit

Mainly components on Gunbroker and other such sites.
I did get over on a couple of sellers on some powder, $5 for a pound of powder plus their $30 Hazmat fee.

Imo, part of the increased shipping is also the vendor trying to make money elsewhere. I've seen numerous "deals" that had a huge shipping cost that killed it

Just wait until a case is 900rounds instead of 1k. Many other manufacturers of food an such are selling less for the same price. People don't pay attention to this.
