I had a great day today. I rode 200 miles and visited 5 gun shops.
One is a shop called Downhams in Logansport. They still have a few ebr's. One was a new Bushmaster M4 at $1185 and another was a dissipator on consignment for $1100. They had some primers and powder as well. Talked to the owner about current pricing and he said he couldn't raise his prices like the other guys because he couldn't look his customers in the eye when they come back in 3 months. He had a decent ammo supply for today's standards. I bought some once fired 40 brass off of him a few months ago at $2.00 per 100. Nice small, personal type shop.
Next was Dunhams in Logansport. They had a Remington R15 at $1200. They had a ton of Federal Champion 22 50rd boxes at $2.19 each.
Bass and Bucks in Wabash had a bunch of primers and a ton of 40, 223 and 308. I didn't get prices on much of it as there were too many different kinds to remember. They've got a range that will go out to 750 yards and it is $15 a day to shoot.
Stopped at Down By the Tracks in Galveston as well. Another nice small town gun shop.
It was nice to finally get out and put some miles on the bike. Now if I just had some money to buy something!
