There is a gun smith in Griffith IN just down the street from Blythe's. Has anyone used him before or know if he is any good? I don't really need a lot at this time but would like to get some new sights put on a couple Glocks. Not sure how big of a pain that is but … I stopped in the shop once and it seemed like he had guns everywhere

He put the sights on my M&P. Did ok. Did them while I waited.

For bigger jobs though, he has something like a 6 month wait.

That's Eric Gutridge: Gutridge, Inc. Custom Gunsmithing Only guy I've ever used, if I don't do the work myself.

Let me know what you need and I can talk to Eric, if you like. I don't think he's currently at a 6 month wait, LOL. But you sure can call and ask.

BTW, he's on vacation until this coming Monday (06/16/14), I believe.

Great thanks. I would just have him do some sights on some glocks. I think someone sent me a PM but it says I need 50 posts to send one back. I'm glad someone has used him and he is good though. I do plan on expanding on some 1911's and could use him then too.

He completely redid my Remington model 12 pump 22 that was in poor shape. Now it is ready for another hundred years. He has helped me with a ruger 44 carbine as well with taping a part for me. On Saturdays I think he does quick jobs while you wait... I would check in on him. I like his work.

I believe his Dad did a full custom PPC revolver for me about 30 years ago. That revolver is still flawless, dependable and super accurate. If he learned from his old man, I would give him a try.

Went to him twice. First time my 1911 was jammed up. He fixed it in about two minutes and didn't even charge me. Next time I had a ball stuck in my flintlock pistol. At first he said he was too busy to take the job. We talked a few minutes and he decided to clear the barrel on the spot. Charged me $40 for about 20 minutes work plus he gave me a lot of tips on black powder. I'll go back.
