Three were strutting in my field today! I haven't seen them or captured any on camera since early last fall. Glad they are back and hope they stay around!

Do you live in the Friendship area? Birds have been quite lately. Have seen toms with hens later in the morning. Could be tough.

Things have been pretty quiet in my area. Tons of tracks in the field so I know they were made during legal shooting light. Back at it tomorrow.

we have two farms in perry county and we were attacked by the birds this year. and i loved it.. there were 3 hunters staying in our cabin, legal shooting light was at 530 and we were all three tagged out by 645! couldn't of asked for a better opening day.

watching a hen come off her nest daily between 11 a.m. and 11:30 am didnt know they kept such a tight schedule. right about the toms quieting down the last couple weeks.

I was working a tom and a hen at 9:30 this morning when the corn planter pulled into the field. I hope they finished as I'll be back tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me. Last year he didn't plant until season was over.

Where at in Perry? I never herd a bird all season! Even had a couple about 100 yards off that never even looked up when I hit the call!
