I am waiting for a bird rescue group in Nashville to contact me so I can take him to them.

His/her eye is still physically there. If you need the number of a veterinarian that treats wildlife and deals with raptors in your area, let me know.

Well, I just met a kid in Martinsville that is a vounteer for the rescue group in Nashville, and he said he/she didn't look too bad. he also said it became docile, since it was injured and could not decide wether it was going to be eaten or not! I will have my girls call them in a few days for updates on its status.

Man, it is nice to get my one good deed done for the year so soon:D

Cool. Did he try to fight you?

He tried to get away, then dug his claws in and bit my glove, but when I got him in the house and sit him on the floor, he was very calm, turning his head watching, and even allowed some rubbing on the back of the head. It had to have been knocked silly:D

Is this the place? Indiana Raptor Center: A hospital for birds of prey in the Hills O

If so he/she is in good hands.

I've been to their facility and they love each and every bird and know their stuff about raptors.

That is where he was taken. I met one of their volunteers in Martinsville last night. He said to give Patty a call and get updates on his status.

BTW, thanks all for the rep that was sent!
