Level One Defensive Handgun Course Sat-Sun, Sept. 24-25, 2011
Sand Burr Gun Ranch, Rochester, IN
$250 per student​

This Course is designed to introduce the basics of defensive gun deployment during violent attack.

Topics covered will include:
-Gun safety and range safety
-Basic weapons manipulation (loading/unloading)
-Holster use and drawstroke.
-Movement
-Trigger control, sights, grip, stance and marksmanship
-Reloading and stoppage reduction
-Engagement of moving targets
-Mindset and philosophy
-Low light/night shooting (night shoot Saturday evening)
-Hostage situations
-Contact shots

This class is designed to train you in the basics of gunfighting. It is real training for the serious firearm owner. Novice shooters are welcome (ages 16-17 with parent or guardian) but this will be a fast paced course intent on setting a practical foundation for CCW and defensive use of the handgun.

800-rounds required. Autoloading pistol or revolver. Caliber .380, and up.
