Michael Chertoff - Former homeland security chief argues for whole-body imaging - washingtonpost.com

The only part of this story you need to read is this:
The writer was secretary of homeland security from 2005 to 2009 and is co-founder of the Chertoff Group, a security and risk-management firm whose clients include a manufacturer of body-imaging screening machines.

This is another example of the corruption and greed within both parties. These former congressmen, agency heads, government "officials" use their contacts, inside knowledge and fear to sell billions of dollars of crap to our government, and convince our government that they need to spy, denigrate, detain, and loot the people that elect them.

The people react to every terror event (regardless of level of success or impact) just as the insiders planned them. Ready to submit to the next level of tyranny. Whenever these failures fail to convince the people, the insiders will turn up the volume.

Just remember, some people make a lot money by stealing our Liberty. Just ask Al Gore how many billions he will make in a Cap & Trade environment.

Something to remember about security folks, at least ones who take their jobs seriously, and believe in what they do. They do not care about freedom, liberty, individual rights. They care about providing security, about providing perfect safety. They know they cannot do it, but they will try with all their heart, get heartburns over not being able to provide that perfect safety, they do not want to see their fellow Americans slaughtered, do not want to see little girls blown up in hijacked planes, and will not let anything get in the way of their efforts.

This is why they are necessary. It is also why they cannot be trusted, and must be watched over with an iron fist.

It's all part of the Military industrial complex...

Feed the public some crap about fighting a war on terror all the while special groups with links to elected officials line their pockets with the profit from fear.
