Does anyone know if there is anyone offering the Florida Non-resident permit class at the 1500? If not is there anywhere close to Indianapolis on the south side this class is offered? Or something that would satisfy the Florida requirement?

    Somewhere else
There is not a specific class for the FL Nonresident permit. You only need to show competency with a firearm. Military training counts as does most NRA training.

Suggest considering the Arizona permit. It is half the price of the FL permit, has basically the same (easy to meet) training requirements, and does not require a photo. Both give eight additional states (Utah only seven) with a slight difference: FL honors WA but not NV; while AZ honors NV but not WA.

Florida also honors states that Utah doesn't, other than what you mentioned above. Always good to check handgunlaw.us to see which licenses honor any states you plan to travel to. If you're just getting a license to get more states, it may not matter as much.

I wasn't aware of an Arizona permit. I'll have to look into that.
