One of my goals for this year is to build an ar pistol. I happened to catch a daily deal at Palmetto, and ordered a lower kit with pistol brace. Got an email saying it has shipped. As much as doing an 80% lower appeals to me, I think I will go to Vision Defense, where my rifle was built, and buy a stripped lower and upper from them since I missed out on the INGO group buys. I started with the lower while I was/am deciding on caliber. I think I will do 5.56, I can always add a 300 upper later on if i feel the need.

Ar pistols are fun. I only have one I use mine to put in a backpack to travel out of state with without all the red tape taking a SBR.

    Near the big river.
I have a RRA 5.56, it is piston driven with the recoil spring inside the upper. Very compact.

It is in my avatar, loads of fun.

Yeah, I am thinking it will be a fun gun to shoot. A guy I work with says a short barreled 5.56 will be a really loud flame thrower. My response was, What's wrong with that? lol
