He was infected while treating patients in Africa.

If someone is infected by being near him in New York gets infected, then it's time to worry.

Right now it's just time to find out if the story is true and prepare to beat the crap out of this guy when he gets over Ebola.

Self-isolation would have been fine, but if he went out in the city he was behaving badly, knowing what he has been exposed to recently.

    Like a nurse or something.

Oh, I agree it's a serious issue, but the nurses were also infected by being near a person with fulminating disease.

I don't mean to discount the risk they take. I simply mean that there is so far no spread by casual contact. If that happens, we have a lot more to worry about in terms of an actual epidemic.

Seems like this thing may have a sudden onset at the end of the incubation period, eh?

I mean, that second nurse from TX felt well enough to take a commercial flight, then whammo - sick the next day.

This doctor in NY apparently felt well enough to go bowling, out to eat, etc., then whammo - sick the next day. (and he passed the airport screening).
