Don't you hate it when the site says 'In Stock' and you order... And it's not?

Not pissed, just a bit irritated...

Finally talked the wife into letting me order an Aimpoint Comp M4s and I ordered it through Larue Tactical... Site clearly says it's in stock but moments after ordering it I get an email telling me the order status has been changed to 'back ordered' and that there's a 2 to 5 week lead time on all Aimpoint optics.

Would be nice if they said that on the site.........

Not mad, just annoyed.

I have had the best luck with optics planet...well, so far anyway.

I really hate it when they pull funds from my account and then say it is a back order....just bad business and that looses me forever.

What worse is when you order something from Optics Planet knowing that it's backordered for 2 months, and then when the box finally shows up it's EMPTY.
Yep. Happened to me.
Luckily, they have video cameras watching the picking and packing line, and they were able to see that my box never got filled.
So then I got to go back on the list and wait another 2 months.
Wheee!!!!!!!
I said "No thanks" and ordered from Brownells instead.

I guess you could say this is the only bad experience I've ever had with Midway. It was a part that I was in no hurry for but I wouldn't have placed the order knowing it was backordered. I even forgot about it until receiving the package in the mail one day. Took 4 or 5 months to get it.

Thankfully Larue didn't bill me [yet] for the item... Only downside to that is that I have to remember that I will be having a large charge come through and that I need to keep extra funds in there to cover it!
