    Between Nov 4 and Nov 27, the South Bend Medical Foundation is giving away a free turkey to everyone that donates a unit of blood. Or you can donate your turkey to charity.

    Any blood donor wishing to donate his or her turkey to area families by donating the turkey to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana will be able to do so at the Foundation.

    Although appointments are not mandatory, appointments will be honored before walk-ins and the donor center hours are as follows:

    South Bend (530 North Lafayette Blvd) Monday – Friday 8am until 5pm and Saturday from 7:30am until 2pm.
    Mishawaka (corner of Edison and Main) Monday – Friday 7:30am until 8pm and Saturday 7:30am until 2pm
    Elkhart (Elkhart Hospital) Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Noon until 8pm, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30am until 4pm.
    Marion Donor Center is open Tuesday from 10:30am until 7pm, Wednesday from 9am until 5:30pm and Thursday and Friday from 8am until 4:30pm.
    First time and return donors are welcome and eligible for the turkey voucher.     Maybe the donor center will be hot, and the needle will hurt.. then you can tell your family you paid for the turkey with your own blood, sweat, and tears :rockwoot:
