Interesting: US-CERT (US Computer Emergency Response Team) issued a warning just last week about this exact botnet and it's potential for trouble.

They do provide some good recommendations on how to better secure your internet-connected devices (routers, TVs, IP cameras, etc) in this bulletin so that you don't contribute to the problem.
