Those hognosed STINK like they're dead too! I remember finding one as a kid and had it play dead. I then proceded to handle it not knowing they released that stench, I had that smell in my nose for two days!

Oh yeah beautiful musk. Most if not all snakes will musk you up good as a defense. This one musked, pooped and threw up it's last meal.

Oh yeah 2 weeks ago I found a hatchling Red Eared Slider and it followed me home. Today a baby Norther Water Snake followed me home. I am building a sweet cage system for them the picture below is just the bottom half.

Hognose snakes have always been my favorite -- it was the first snake I ever caught in the wild. I was in the 5th grade, so it would have been the '78-'79 school year.
