Not sure if this is posted anywhere else but Dan Forestal former State Representative passed away today at 38 years old. This is what happens when drugs get a hold of you and wont let go.

I heard that on the radio. Sad.

Dan was a decent guy, although we didn’t see eye to eye on politics and the 2nd amendment. When the drugs got a hold of him he changed and never came back from it. The last time I spoke to him I got mad and walked away from our conversation.

So is "mental health issues" code for "drug addiction" for those in political circles? All the articles I read say he was suffering from "mental health issues".

I heard this earlier today also. I wish the best for his family and others left behind. The dude was on a bad path, no doubt about it. I don't know how much was drugs and how much was not.

He was a Indianapolis firefighter but left the job a couple of years ago because of mental health issues (drugs).

I knew some of his relatives, Richard, Joe, and Jerry. Richard owned a company called HI-VU than made electric road arrow signs on the East side, and a mutual friend had me stopping by for an after work beer or two. Joe was a police captain and Jerry did some sort of work for the city. This would have been back in the 80s and early 90s, good guys all, and as a young man I learned things from listening to them.

Richard's business was a good place to watch the fireworks on the 4th and I took my family there several times.

The sheriff of Marion county is his uncle also. Lots of his relatives are in public safety

So I'm not the only one who noticed how inbred indy politics and .gov workers are.

Yes, and Jim Lucas was on the show too. Did not go well for him.
