Chiappa M9-22

I've read quite a few reviews regarding the Chiappa 1911-22. Most of them say the same thing: "It's not a jewel, but after some TLC it is a great reliable plinker if you run hot ammo." However, I am completely unable to find anything regarding the Chiappa M9-22. I am a Beretta 92FS fan, and the thought of owning a replica in .22 just has me tickled pink, especially for $250-$300. Has anyone here shot one? Own one? At least handled one?

I've read all the stats, I just wanted to know how the quality was. All I've read about the 1911 is that it is a bit of a "diamond in the rough."
