I couldn't believe that Rob Johnson broadcasted 3 pro gun comments and only 1 anti-gun comment from his facebook page. The three were basically saying "when you outlaw guns, only outlaws have guns". One said their father had died and couldn't defend himself against a gun. Pretty neat. Some good PR.:rockwoot:

I think people are starting to get tired of all the b.s. that is getting thrown around these days, and starting to realize that the world is unfortunately a scarey place.

Gun laws don't prevent gun crime anymore than tax laws prevent people from tax fraud, or making cheating on tests in school reason for an automatic "F."

The result is that the people who are already honest comply by the rules, even though they wouldn't have broken them anyway. Those that are willing to take a little bit of risk take just that much more risk. Sure, there are some high stakes involved, but so is the reward.

We can treat the symptoms all we want, but until we address the actual disease, nothing will really change. The result will just be a slower death.

    Word to your mother.

And, I have always believed that in cities like Chicago, Gary, Detroit, everyone focuses on the results of poverty. But, no one wants to address and assist the people in those rough neighborhoods. They would rather take the guns away from people and then leave them on their own in the bad neighborhoods, with bad schools, etc., and not do anything to address the problems associated with "gun crime".

If they address the real problems (poverty, lack of jobs, etc..) then what will the politician be needed for in the end? Cook Couty, IL has the highest % in the nation of people on government assistance (LA is 2nd). If you were a local politican do you really want the government assistance to go away? HECK NO! Your job and the job of all your friends would disappear. Plus you would lose power. Poor Joe who you have his brother a city job & help him out every now and then would no longer need your help and perhap not vote for you anymore. No, it is much better to keep the people "poor and under control" then to allow them to prosper. If they prosper then they may think for themseleves and see that you are not needed.

    See the REAL problem...
