California rep attempting to ban body armor.

I didn't see this elsewhere, so forgive me if I overlooked it. Rep Honda has introduced a bill to ban lowly civilians from owning body armo. Rep. Mike Honda Introduces Bill Banning Civilians from Buying Body Armor | NBC Bay Area

I suspect that even if the bill does become law it will be overturned like the previous body armor ban. The previous ban introduced after the 1997 North Hollywood shootout was overturned because the law "is unconstitutionally void for vagueness because it does not provide fair notice of which protective body vests constitute the body armor made illegal by the statute."
