Buying out of state from a person

I may be purchasing some firearms from a friend of my wife’s. The issue is she lives in California so I’m wondering can she just ship it to me or does it have to be sent via a gun shop to a local Indy shop? Couple pistols shotgun maybe rifle, ammo as well. Clearing out a bad baby daddy collection.

Definitely from FFL there to FFL here. As already stated. But are these legally hers? Are they in his name? I don't know California's laws or registration requirements.

Not sure he just left them and hasn’t returned just bailed with baby at home. From what I’ve been told she has tried to get him to come get them out but no response.
