I listed my Bersa Thunder 380 on Armslist.com earlier in the month but took it down due to all the flaky responses.

A couple weeks back I gave a dear friend my Mossberg Maverick 88 with the 28" rifled barrel (he's a deer hunter, I'm not)

I put my Bersa back on Armslist for sale again, and posted it here as well.

Yesterday I sold my Bersa to a nice, normal guy who found the add on Armslist, then I went right to Dick's Sporting goods for their Black Friday sale and bought a Mossberg Maverick Security for $179.

I still have enough left over to get some ammo.

November has been a good month.

The last time I posted a firearm for sale on Armslist some clown from Washington State tried to scam me. He sent me an overpayment on the firearm [around $800 over] and wanted the difference sent to his girlfriends PayPal account. The check he sent me had the account closed and thank God I didn't give my FFL the go ahead to ship the firearm.

Try to do your business locally and make damn sure the funds are for real!

I found a listing on Armslist some time back for two pistols.
Seller wanted to sell them as a package.
We agreed on a price and met at his house. (Not something I would do at my house)

I purchased both handguns and left.
Two MONTHS later the guy calls me back.
He wants to buy the guns back?

He said nothing about wanting to purchase them back at the point of sale.
He did say he really didn't want to sell them, but what's new?

I told him I sold them and please do not call back.
    People. They're the worst!

I had one of those. Some jerk from said he was from Texas and tried that with me.

He must have really been in a rough spot. I guess he should have thought about it a little more before selling them.

Getting rid of the stuff you don't use to fund stuff you will... Good deal!

Agreed, and I learned a couple things in this process too.

What I really wanted was a Walther PPK in .380 but they were really expensive, so I bought the Bersa instead because it sort of looked like the Walther.

So I learned it really is true that you get what you pay for, and that if I really want something I can't afford then save for it or get over it.

Case in point, I would really love a 6" Colt Python, but at $3,000 I'm already over it :)
