I am looking to purchase a new rifle to hunt deer with in Indiana. I want to buy and assult rifle that I can have practical use with. Is the bushmaster .450 legal? I know the .458 Socom is legal but the ammo is triple the cost of the Honady offered for the bushy.
Rifles with pistol cartridges
Rifles must fire a cartridge with a bullet of .357-inch diameter or larger; have a minimum case length of 1.16 inches; and have a maximum case length of 1.625 inches.
