Ok, trying not to be too long winded...
I have in my possession a longrifle from the Jamestown, NC guild.
I have been researching, asking questions, perusing parts, etc., and would like to build a semi-replica piece to deer hunt with.
So, yesterday I went to Friendship to the NMLRA shoot.
Bought a 13/16" .45 Rice barrel, trigger guard, butt plate.
I am torn between buying a pre-inlet and lock, or start with a blank.
I am able to get help from Hardscrabble Originals, and a buddy who builds out at Conner Prairie.
Any thoughts, pros, cons, builders near Anderson?

    Regards
