    Serpa for my EDC.
I see where an untrained individual could do some harm to themselves but hell man....how many folks shoot themselves with a Glock.
My serpa puts my trigger finger right along side the slide as I remove the gun. Any one that sticks there finger in the guard while drawing could easily do the same thing with a Galco or similar. It is a gun...it will go "Boom" if you mis-handle it.

    JMHO of course.

Anyone have any thoughts on these holsters? I was looking to get one for a Beretta 92 and a SW Sigma. After checking into these i discovered I can buy the Shoulder Rig and use the holster on both the OWB and Shoulder Rig for both guns.

    Any Pro's or Con's?

I've really only found a shoulder holster useful when driving for long periods of time. I fill in as a driver once in a while for a Armor Car company, that's really the only time I use a shoulder rig anymore.

They're a good way to accidentally shoot yourself in the leg.
I've seen lots of NDs with those things. One of which in person, from a man I regard as an expert pistol shooter in the President's 100.

Put one right into his foot.

Safariland ALS holsters are superior in every way. Trust me, I had a serpa and loved it, but the moment I slipped on an ALS I was sold. I have not carried my Beretta 96D in anything else since.

The Safariland ALS holsters use a thumb lever instead of the index finger lever on the serpa. You will not be at a higher risk of an ND when carrying in an ALS. They are also suede lined, so they are easier on your gun. The so called "Safarilaminate" that they use is more reassuring that the material that the blackhawks are made from, especially in the paddle.

Safariland ALS holsters can be used in a shoulder holster rig that they sell as well.
