Everyone know's that the S&W SD VE series is one of the best guns for the money at around $320.00 dollars. What are some other quality guns for the money at $300-$350 range?

The trigger is less desirable on the SD VE, and for about $20-$30 dollars you can upgrade the trigger system. But over all its one of the best guns for your money.

I'm looking to add a couple of more guns and would like to know what you all think is the best for this price range.

I like the old Ruger P series 9mm's. I have owned a couple of them and they are not the best for concealed carry but have good triggers from factory and will eat anything you feed em'.
As for semi auto 22's the Ruger SR22 pistol is awesome. I picked one up NIB for 320 and shoot cheap bulk ammo in it and have not had a single malfunction in about 500 rounds. That could not be said for the Walther P22 I had before.
In revolvers anything Taurus has always worked for me. They may not have the best finish out there but they are very good shooters. I currently have one in 44 special with hogue rubber grips and both myself and the wife love to shoot it. I think I paid 240 for that one several years ago.

GSG 1911-22. It eats everything and it is quite accurate for what it is.

Bersa Thunder 380. It is no Cadillac but it has been reliable and the groups are good enough for a close up BUG.

I assume the OP is asking about new handguns. I am going to list some centerfire pistols that impressed me in this price range. Obviously there are some good rimfire pistols as well.

    Smith & Wesson SD9VE
    Ruger P95
    Bersa Thunder .380
    Taurus 85 revolver

Be willing to think outside the box and take a look at a Makarov (a true Soviet, East German, Bulgarian, or NORINCO Pistolet Makarova) or a Tokarev (preferably the newly-made Zastava M57 version). You just might be pleasantly surprised to find that "inexpensive" is far from being the same thing as "cheap". ;)

FEG Hi-Power. $339 on gunbroker. Item#341563570. Bought one just like it a month or so ago. Couldn't be happier. Midway has 13rd Mec-Gar mags in stock for $22.99. No brainer.

Great minds think alike and all that jazz. :rockwoot:

There are a lot of good $300 - $350 options when we start looking at used guns. The days of used $350 Glocks seem to be behind us but at one time a person could pickup police trade ins for about $325.

Other good options are to keep your eyes open for a used Ruger SR9 or maybe a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver.

Both the polish p-64 and CZ82 are great guns, chambered in 9x18 Makarov, and are <= $300. Although, you will mant to replace the springs on the p-64.

I would also second the Taurus 85.

I own a East German. I picked it up for $360. The Bulgarians ones are a little cheaper. They are a blast to shoot, inherently accurate, and some really nice defense rounds are available by Winchester.

I don't know about the other three, but the Bersa Thunder .380 is a great little handgun. Mine runs like a champ, and conceals easily in an IWB holster. I paid $321, including tax for it last August at MCSports in B'ton.

I have recently read some reviews of the Sarsilmaz B6P polymer 9mm from Turkey. They go for around $300 new and have received really positive reviews. Might be something to look into.

I have the SAR K2P 9mm that I bought brand new for $405.00, thats tax included. The K2P is a sweet shooter. I have heard of the B6P but have never seen one up close. Whats the price on the B6P?

The Bersa Thunder 9 used to sell for less than $400, but has climbed north of that for a new one now. But, if you keep your eyes open, you should be able to find one for around $350 - $400. Those are really nice guns that shoot very well.

I have seen them on Gunbroker as low as $290. They fluctuate around $300. Of course there will be shipping and transfer to add on. My surprise is how well people seem to like them. There are quite a few people on the CZ forum who speak very well of them.
