    Hello All,

I'm new to the forum. Long time looker first time poster.

Can anyone tell me about the Beretta 390 shotgun they sell at Wal-Mart for $547.00? I Have been around and shoot other Beretta shotguns but they was alot more money. Is the 390 a cheap version of the 3901 made only for Wal-Mart. I can't find them at other gunshops.

    Thanks,

    Littlejoe

It's my understanding that when Beretta came out with the 391 that there was a surplus of 390 parts. They used some of these parts to continue to produce the 390 but as they ran out of 390 recievers they started to use the 391 reciever with the parts from 390's, hence the model 3901. That's how it was explained to me by a couple of dealers. Both the 390 and 3901 are great deals, you are getting a Beretta for under $600.

Also the 390's to my knowledge are no longer produced.

Mine was actually a 390 ST-has the humpback receiver-i wouldn't sell it back to them for $547(cool part-they had 1 year interest free financing, too)

    Thanks for all help.

I picked up the last new in the box AL 390 they had at the Lawrenceburg Wal-mart today. They had a display model that had a lot of makes on it. Going to the trap range Sunday and try it out. Hope it shoots as good as my old 1100 and I'll be happy.

This is a great forum with good people that I am proud to be apart of.:)

    Thanks,
    Littlejoe
