    uses

It will be used for general purpose,

    Cutting hooks outta bass mouths
Smashing a hole in something that needs needs it:dunno:
    cutting my hot dog stick
    stabbing and slicing up zombies
    opening a bag of charcoal
    everything!!!:D

The end "butt" of the knife will be exposed 1 inch and have a slight taper "like a standard screwdriver"
    The finish will be unpolished.

Ive been thinking of materials for the handle, something rubber/all weather. "suggestions and pics would be nice."

I will be making a custom rivited Kydex holster with a belt clip and belt loop after my handle is finished. Also a compartment for a sharpening stone, like those ol 80's survival knives had:rockwoot:YEEEEHAWWWW!!!!

if you want "all weather" it doesn't get any better than plain old g10. when you say "rubber" i assume are are talking about horse stall mat material which is popular with some folks..... some people love it, some people hate it.

i would reccomend g10. and it comes in a HOST of colors!

+1, G10 has really impressed me with it's durability, amazing stuff, and like cubby said, you can get almost any color you can imagine.

    I wanna go with Zytel.

Can't seem to find where i can get it done?
    Or how?

most zytel stuff is on factory knives because it is done in a mold or injection process... NOT something a custom maker would normally be able or interested in doing... ABLE because its a one time use mold (on a custom knife, one of) or INTERESTED because of the lack of repeatablity (back to the one time use) and costs.....

i have some material here which a buddy gave me... i have NO idea what it is, but it looks similiar to zytel, and feels similiar, but i have no idea how it will finish out, or imapct resistance.. its used on heavy machine as a skid plate...

maybe a acrylic of some sort wil get you the effect and feel you want. check out masecraft supply. durablity is low on the scale though...
