    Hello new member here. I am on the hunt for a place that does fluting in our great state. I have a rifle i would like to drop some weight on so and advice is greatly appreciated.

    If you are planning on helical, you need to find someone that would be willing to make a CAD program to put into a CNC to run. The dimple style can be done on a standard mill (which will most likely reduce cost compared to helical.) The most cost effective fluting would be straight.

    Yeah i decided against the helical,i don't think it would go well with the rifle. Dimple is 1st and straight is 2nd, depending on price. I have seen AllenM do some nice work but cant contact him do to being new :-(
