I find myself at a certain point now that I have no guns to trade, or sell... Yes there are guns out there that I still want (lever gun in.357, M-1 Garand, any gun in 45-70, full size 9mm, a quality 1911) That being said, I recently traded for a rifle I really like, and it will go to my son when I'm gone, the same with some I inherited I will never sell/trade. I'm a shooter, not a collector, so I have no guns that are not shot. Anyone else at this point too? Of course some day I might see THE trade I've wanted, but as of right now, I'm good. Just thought I'd see if I'm the only one.

You are not alone. I am at the same point you are. Like you I to have a "want" list but it is very simple. A Colt 44 2nd generation 1860 Army and a 45 cal muzzle-loader.Seems to me that black powder weapons are about the only thing that is still fairly cheap to shoot. But other than that. I am happy with what I have. Like you I am a shooter not a collector. I do not see myself doing anymore trading in the near future. So no...you are not the only one.

Waiting on one more to come back in stock at a bit lower price (MVP Scout in .308) and keeping an eye out for a Martini Henry. Other than that and a couple of more optics, I’m pretty satisfied with what I have.

When I was in my 20's and 30's I traded and sold/bought many, but in my 40's/50's, it's just been acquisition, no sales or trades.

I built up a decent size collection 15-20 years ago, and have been steadily selling them off (most here on INGO) for the last 10 years until I get to a downsized more basic collection.

I’m closer than most of you to being “done” and my safe only holds 8 long guns. My two bolt rifles are cheap savages (12fv) and I’d love to put together a custom with any of the excellent aftermarket actions out there now. My two ARs get me by just fine and I have spare parts for more if needed. I have my carry pistol and a plinker 22 pistol and one nice rimfire 22. There’s not much more than a shotgun or such I can justify. I’d rather have 6 fantastic guns than 60 of anything else.
