I was just watching fox news and saw a clip of nObama stating he supports an assault weapon ban.

Did anyone else catch it? I'm trying to google it now and will post if I find it.

    Mitt Romney on Gun Control

Q: As governor you signed into law one of the toughest restrictions on assault weapons in the country.
A: Let’s get the record straight. First of all, there’s no question that I support 2nd Amendment rights, but I also support an assault weapon ban. Look, I’ve been governor in a pretty tough state. You’ve heard of blue states. In the toughest of blue states, I made the toughest decisions and did what was right for America. I have conservative values.

Read the Massachusetts bill, instead of second-hand sources.

The point made in that thread was that Romney did no such thing as sign an AWB. If folks here want to continue to believe it, well, it's a free country.

That's what I love about INGO. Even something that could be a genuinely held misconception is grounds for an insult.

But I can still do it too, right? :dunno:

    Please don't take umbrage vicariously.

Somebody wants to call me Karl Rove, I'm good with that.

    No offense taken, friend.

Obama said he supports an assault weapons ban according to the OP. (I am accepting the OP's statement at face value.)

Romney said he supports an assault weapons ban. (See quote from Romney above.)

    What's the point?
