I'm at Indiana Beach and there are 2 or 3 tables set up with people wearing diversity club shirts. Out of the 20-30 people I've seen wearing the shirts, every single one of them is Hispanic. I didn't stop to read their whole sign but it appeared to be about wealth redistribution and other socialist crap.

Yes, they have some good tacos. I'm going to try Sublettes ribs after I leave here. Walking around here I keep asking myself wth has happened to our gene pool?

The answer is actually pretty simple. We have made society to safe. It is way to difficult for Darwin to claim the weak end of the gene pool. Hard is not the same as impossible though. :D

I made the caramel corn and salt water taffy there for many years and have had those IB taco's for about...40 years, they are delicious. As for diversity at the amusement park...all the money is green.

This absence is due to the fact the Obama (notice the absence of president) is anti-white and is making it harder to be a white person in America. It has been proven if you disagree with his decisions, morals, or judgements you are a racist.

They are free to form whatever group they want. I just find it highly ironic that they form a "diversity club". And it's made up of entirely of one particular group. That tells me it isn't about inclusion but social engineering.

Fixed that for you. Claims and accusations are not proof. ;)

Guys, I just argued about 8 hours ago that the stuff at this site is not racist but that sometimes people do come near the line. Please do not prove me wrong in this thread.

As for diversity club, from a quick google search they seem to be a grass roots college/post college club/group for "diversity education", etc. What does that mean? It means people who want to create a soft cuddly world where all people are nice to each other and "tolerance" keeps people from saying mean things about others or at least keeps them from getting the cr*p kicked out of them.

Now, I am kinda surprised you found an all latino group as I would have expected a wider range of people there. I would expect many of them were also gay if that helps futher set you off on some kind of a tangent.

Personally, guys, I fully support people being tolerant as long as that is what is meant. Personally, I am all for efforts to make a more civil society in which people are not picked out and given a beating for XYZ reason.

At the same time, I am wanting the actual tolerance to be real. That is to say, I want them to be just as tolerant of gun toting red necks as they expect red necks to be of them. If that means no-cr*p-kicking then we all come out ahead. If that means all getting to know each other well enough to live in the same town if not really have beers together, well I hope for the former cause the latter, well that's not gonna really happen very often.

My problem is when tolerance means compliance or when the inclusive is selective. That has nothing to do with race, gender, etc. That is just simple hypocrisy and we can stay on message there.

But, really, guys, please do not wander near a line that looks bad for us all. We are better than that.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Most of the people wearing the shirts I saw appeared to be high school age. I didn't stop an read all of their sign but it had something about lower, middle, and upper class and salaries, aethiesm and other stuff.

If the group would have been about a Latino college fund or whatever, no big deal. It just seems that our society deems that the less white a group is, the more diverse it is. IE, if there isn't a single white person in the group, you've achieved the ulitmate diversity.

If anyone plan to use this thread to attach an ethnic group, please don't as it is not the intent of this thread. What I'm pointing out is the double standard our society has with this "tolerance" crap. Look at the Miss USA pageant for example. Miss California was asked a question and she gave an honest answer and look at the tirades that have been launched against her. On MSNBS, Olbmerman and some other idiot accused her of actually being a man who had a sex change, her adams apple shaved and having implants. Have you heard the "Perez Hylton's" blog piece on her? He was one of the judges and he kept her from winning because of her answer. Where is the tolerance of Miss California's beliefs?

What I have a problem with is the double standard that conservatives need to be tolerant of liberal view points but not vice versa.

Oh, I get you better now!

Yes, apparently Scottish or European mutt, or whatever is not really an ethnicity that is diverse. Yep, get that, except when I feel for the guys in skirts getting drunk and tossing telephone poles or dragging heavy objects (my kind of sports baby!). Then it is maybe a diversity. Keep in mind, the current ethnic white in pop culture is Irish (yeah all those irish accented Greeks in 300 fighting against a giant frenchie Xerxes). 100 years ago Irish was as spat apon as latino is today (still so in some places in Boston as I have heard).

And as for that contest, that was a shame. An absolute shame. They asked, she answered. They did not tolerate, they ridiculed. That's the EXACT hypocrisy I despise and makes me a real bummer at gatherings of liberal friends. I just don't find some jokes funny...

I don't really know what my heritage is and I couldn't give a flyin f less. I do know that way down the line, there was a full blooded Cherokee woman. I don't have German, Asian, Irish, brown, black, white, or whatever "pride" that is cool to be at the moment. Irish, German, Mexican, etc. are considered ethnicities. How long does America have to exist before it is considered an ethinicity? I'm an American and if your skin color is different than mine and you love America, then you are my brother or sister.

I don't believe that anyone is genetically superior to anyone else but what I'm finding is that the older I get, the more I see that the wealth gap is created by culture and upbringing. Peoples world views are largely shaped by those around them in their first few years of life. If you are surrounded by douche bags for the first 10-15 years of life, there is a very high probability that you will be one yourself.
