any antique colt Aficionados on here?

My grand father was showing me what appeared to be a colt M1903 hammerless. the problem is all the pictures on the net i can find have a different engraving on it. This has been stamped with "Browning patent xxxxxxxxxx" I am just trying to figure out what year it was made. The serial is 7xxxx.

Call Colt Mfg. 1-800-962-COLT(2658). It's worth a try anyway. They should be able to look up the number and tell you withing a few months of when it was made. I called them today and they looked up a number for me.
