    They are .223 orange tip pulls. My father reloaded 3 of them and we shot them in the daytime. Didn't appear to be tracers (my father thought they were tracers also). I think they are ballistic tips?

    They are the same color as the ones linked.

    At what distance did you fire the orange tip .223? Most .223 tracers don't light off until at least 50 yards if not closer to 100 yards.

    If I'm not mistaken, a lot of the pulled tracer bullets are "expired" so they may or may not light up when you fire them.

    I would say it was between 100-150yrds. Although I am not sure. My father said there should be something in the rear of the boolit. There is a pocket in the back. I do not know if this is common or not since I have never reloaded .223.

    Lighting depends a lot on the powder used also. For example, if using wc844 or wc846 we have had limited success, but using wc844T or wc846T the lighting rate goes way up.
