Please understand that I don't know how to make the title purple.

I just saw on the ABC morning news that Alec Baldwin did NOT pull the trigger on the gun during that movie shoot...bad choice of terms?

    Anyway I digress,
He now has co-workers who were present on the set when the shooting occurred saying that they all saw Alec Baldwin's finger OUTSIDE of the trigger guard and they all "know" that he did not pull the trigger.

So, Alec can't possibly be held liable, right?
"I would never point a gun at a person and pull the trigger. NEVER!"

So, guns go off by themselves now...
    I would never have guessed.

it's the baldwin effect! Criminals around the world will now be using "the baldwin effect" for their defense.

    We have 2 outcomes now:
    1) criminals will no longer be guilty, it's the gun's fault and
    2) government will ban all guns for the safety of the human race SINCE guns DO SHOOT PEOPLE - not always people shoot guns; claiming .....guns kill people as much as people kill people.

just like mob bosses. Al Capone beat two men to death with a bat during a formal cocktail party attended by 200 people.. When the Feds came NOBODY seen NOTHING. All they got him on was tax evasion. I have been to some pretty formal parties, and am pretty sure brains bashed out would be something you would notice

all of those outcomes serve Alec's agenda, so why wouldn't he push this version?

I thought I saw in an article somewhere, that the firearm in question was a reproduction single-action in 45 Colt. Which, IF true, even if the trigger wasn't pulled, it would have to have been cocked.

And, if the hammer was pulled back but not locked in the cocked position, the cylinder should NOT be indexed to allow a round to fire.
That cylinder should only come into alignment when the hammer was fully cocked.
