    14 minutes and 11 seconds of that video is pure video from the news. Every second that it went was one more second my anger rose.

    Unbelievable.

    They've got some shining examples of law enforcements finest terrorizing non involved third parties for filming. Most of those I'd never seen.

    Seriously, a guy is filming and you pull a gun on him? :xmad::xmad:

    Folks this case is a prime example of why you need to understand - JURY NULIFICATION visit www.fija.org

    Police state indeed. :xmad::xmad::xmad:

    the cop at 13:20 is from my county police department.

    These laws are preposterous and unConstitutional on their face. What are the cops afraid of? Like they tell us, if they have nothing to hide, why shouldn't they consent?

    The title alone of this thread bothers me...I'll just skip the video, I have enough things in this world that bother me enough...why add fuel to the fire?

    Terrific news piece by their local news. Absolutely unbelievable that it could be illegal to video tape police in public, or even on your own property! I'd be curious if anybody had the list (I did a little Googling, but couldn't find it) of the states where this is illegal.

    I have to wonder after looking at this situation. A guy standing on his front porch videotapes police, he ends up facing 75 years in jail.

    But what if it wasn't a guy doing the filming? What if you simply had cameras set up on your house to watch the area around your house and you got it all on film? So you have it recorded. Its automatic.

    My questions are: do you get in trouble for HAVING the video? Do you get in trouble for FILMING it, even if the filming is automatic? Or do you get in trouble for putting it up on YOU TUBE?

    The way it looks to me is: he would have gotten a lesser sentence for just shooting the cops instead of taping them. Another good reason to not visit the Socialist state of Il.:xmad:

    I think the entire thing is messed up. For anyone that wants to know, dashcams are in place so that in the event of a bad complaint police can be vindicated (or that in the event that they do mess up, the dash footage can prove it).

    The question can be reflected. If you have nothing to hide or fear, why videotape the officer? I believe in constitutional rights, not insanity or fearmongering.

    I guess one of these need to go on up to SCOTUS and hopefully they will come down on the right side of it.

    It was said best in the video, "if they are getting paid by taxpayer funding the taxpayer should every right to video them in order to hold them accountable". Every single day it seems like there are 5 new stories of people's rights being taken away by the police and the government. Sorry to any good LEO's out there but I think "protect and serve" has fallen to "collect revenue and harass".

    This man is a true Patriot for being willing to do 75 years in defense of his lawsuit, family military sacrifices and the US Constitution. Hats off to him. Shame on Illinois, shame...! :xmad:
