What is your price range and needs?
For "bang for your buck" you should look at the Wilmont LB1000. More flexible than a KMG, and less
expensive. Buy the kit with the wheels and source a motor locally. All in about $1000.
The KMG is the most common Knifemaker 2x72. This includes clones. It is affordable and proven.
Polar Bear Forge has a grinder in a box.
Wilmont has the plans for the EERF grinder available online for free.
TW90: awesome machine. Uses funky 1.25" tool arms.
Ubergrinder. Completely awesome. No motor or VFD included.
Wilmont TAG. Another awesome package.

As to used for sale: they generally get sold to other makers (friends) immediately. Jim talks to joe, mentions he doesn't need grinder A anymore, joe lays claim to new grinder. The funny part is: used grinders usually cost almost the same as new. Because they are worth it.

I don't miss those days! Though I happened across my old 1x30 the other days. I turned it into a sharpener in about 20 minutes. Now to order some belts and such for it.
i made it some mounts and bases on my machine bench, so it sits 90* and faces away. I still need to fab a rest for the edge angle. It mounts to the wall when not in use.
