    I'm a little biased
We are very biased, my thing one has my fathers pre 78 41 with two barrels. His extra barrel is the 5 1/2" that has the extended front sight. Its on the east coast with him.
I bought thing two his at the last Tipton show, its new production.
Mine is also a pre 78 and somewhere I also have another barrel. Its a factory 7 1/2" with a removable comp.
I would like to see a factory built 22LR pistol that will compete at 25 &50 yds with a 41 for $850 to $1,000 dollars.
Money well spent, all three times.

One of these days im gonna open this kit up and shoot it.

S&W 622 is as close to a S&W 41 as I will get. It is pretty light weight and great to shoot. My ultimate favorite .22 is a Tactical Solutions conversion on top of a 1911 Caspian Frame I built just for the conversion. 1911 trigger and .22 goodness!
I read that the 622 has an alloy frame & stainless slide, which would be a step up from the 422.

I was really excited to get the 2206 since they are hard to find.
Not only the slide but the frame is stainless steel.
It gives the 2206 a little more heft in the hand.

    Revolver day:
    - Heritage Rough Rider 16"
    - Dan Wesson 8"
    - Federal Value Pack 36 grain HP (average ammo) 21' on 1.75" circles.
Heritage shooting great & I was going to try 30' but my front red fiber optic fell out. :ugh:
I have one of the 16" Heritage "stock-less rifles" too! I need to start shooting it from a rest , unwieldy at best free handed! May take it with me tomorrow , going to shoot 22 revolvers , my 4" and 6" Smith 617s going up against each other.

Finally got a red dot put on the Browning Buckmark Vision Plus Black/Gold, thanks to Zachcz.
I tried 4 different ammo brands.
Can't wait to compare the BB Vision targets with the BB Pro Target.

1st shots using Federal Automatch in rows 1-3.
First row promising then went downhill???
4th & last row CCI SV kept me from putting the gun up for sale, haha!

Pretty nice shooting with the Aguila. I bought a bunch of Eley prime Aguila SE standard velocity a few years ago when 22 ammo was hard to find. It shoots pretty well in most of my guns. My 4" 22/45 @ 25 yards with a Vortex Venom 3 MOA.

2nd report on a GSG Firefly .22LR that Zack picked up here that I did a range report May 11 with 6 brands of ammo.
    It is ammo finicky.
Manual says it requires HV, but ironically my CCI SV 40 grain worked fine May 11.
    In the HV:
    - Armscor 36 grain HP (no failures) May 11 & today only 2/110 FTE
    - CCI Blazer 38 grain HP (no failures)

Zack & I did a swap today since he wanted my SW 422.
He garnered my attention to the 422 years ago & again recently the 2206 (422 variant).
I wanted him to have my 422 in the Classifieds, so we did a deal.

I like the GSG Firefly with its metal frame & a hammer (my favorite).
He picked it up for a bargain ($130), so it will be easy to turn over after I'm through testing it out like I enjoy.

The POI is low but it comes with 3 front sights, so I'll replace the medium front sight on it now with the larger.
I simply brought my POA up using the front white dot a little past the rear white dots.
I used Armscor today & it cycled fine again, with only 2/110 FTL.
From my research about this gun, you simply have to find which ammo works with it.

Took Zackcz's 422 variant, the 2214, with 3" barrel to the range today for 180 rds of fun.
I didn't have alot of hope for accuracy, since a 3" .22LR barrel never delivers like its longer barreled cousins (I've tried them all), but I was pleasantly surprised.
I knew I'd have to bring up the distance to 15' for my 1.75" circles, but it also did 21' with mixed results.
On my 3.75" circles I even took it out to 30'.
    I used only CCI Mini-Mags.

    3.75" circles x9 & 2" red circles x4.
    Distances marked.

It also has impressed me with its accuracy. Hoping to shoot it some more this afternoon after work. We will see if the wife and kids plans match up with mine to sneak away to the range lol

I am very envious of the 2214. There is a special empty space in my gun safe for one of these bad boys, be it a 422, 622, 2213, 2214 or other variant. There's another empty space I hope to fill with a Model 61 "Escort" with the faux tortoiseshell grips.

    NAA PUG-D 22 Magnum Pug:
    - 1″ Barrel
    - 5-Shot Capacity
    - XS White Dot Sight
    - NAA folding grip installed

I recently picked up this NAA Pug 22 magnum here even though I had the standard NAA 22 magnum.
I had to see if the ported barrel and/or the expandable grips made a difference.
    It did.
I'll keep the Pug & sell the other.

That 22 mag in a 1" barrel has to be LOUD! The only handguns I ever had that fired 22 mag are my pair of 5.5" Single Sixes.

Taurus 94 I bought here days ago:
    - stainless steel w/wood grips (a looker)
    - 3" barrel
    - 9 rd cylinder
    - DA/SA trigger
    - adjustable rear sights
    - 7 coats (2 white & 5 green) on front sight of fluorescent gun sight paint (so I could see :lmfao:)

With a 3" barrel, I've learned to bring my distance up to 15 ft on my 1.75" circles.
I do this currently with my Beretta Bobcat tip-up barrel or my Bersa Thunder semi-auto with its hammer & all metal construction & enjoy shooting them.
Or, I use the 3.75" circles at 21'.
This Taurus 94 drew me with its 9 rd capacity, instead of 6 rds and/or SAO, with its painfully slow process of 1 rd loading & ejection.

Zackcz told me a friend/member wanted to buy this gun from me & I discovered I've sold to him before.
I'll take it to the range 1-2 more times, then let him have it.
He has a 2" & 4" of this model, so it's a pleasure to help another member add to his collection.

Zack is doing that for me about the SW 422 (1987-1996), and its variants (2214 & 2206) I've got that I enjoy so much.
I love passing guns around between friends with 89% of my guns through INGO & my .22LR guns networking through just a handful of friends/members.

I've had at least a half dozen .22LR Taurus revolvers of different models & barrel lengths.
Should have kept a Taurus Tracker 6", a beast of a gun. :ugh:
Early on, I even had a 22 magnum version.

pic left side at range 1st day.jpg pic right side at range 1st day.jpg pic top from rear showing painted green front sights.jpg

3 brands of ammo on this target:
    - Remington Thunderbolts 40 grain, 1255 FPS, SLN
    - Federal Value Pack 36 grain, 1260 FPS, HP
    - Armscor 36 grain, HP
Armscor has better groups today with 25/29 rds in the 3.75" circles = 86%.
    Range 06.09.2023 1st rds at 21 ft on 1.75 in circles.jpg

Practice page where I was learning to adjust the windage & elevation.
Used CCI Mini-Mags at 21' on 3.75" circles.
Between the circles on the bottom row, I'd put 1" circles on the backside of this target & finished shooting.

Very nice. I just picked up this one today. I haven't been able to try it out yet but the single action trigger seems good with snap caps. That double action pull has to be north of 10lbs though. I ordered a used set of factory wood like on yours. Im giving these Taurus/Rossi more love lately. The quality is good and can be had pretty cheap if you shop around. I have a feeling the older guns will be getting pricey in the future. The bluing on some of these is fantastic

    A "bucket list" day. :wow:
I always wanted one of these! :coffee:
Bought a Hi-Standard Target pistol today, built like a tank from decades ago. :rockwoot:
I don't know exact manufacture date yet.
Seller said he was a collector who had never shot it & bought it 10 yrs ago from another collector he knew & said it was over 50 yrs. old (mid 1970s ???).
I had read where these were a sweet shooting classic .22LR range gun in their day! :shoot:

But, I've learned the hard way, not to buy a gun that has sat in the safe & not been to the range for years or decades.
I was reticent to buy a gun w/o knowing its "profile."
The seller was so gracious & volunteered to meet me at the range to inspect & function check the gun.
Only on INGO!!! Very appreciated!.
Truly one of the most stellar members I've met & that is saying alot. :ingo:

I've researched these Hi-Standards & this model is supposed to be at the front of the line with alot of competing models.
I am grateful to have it & look forward to it competing with my other prize .22LR that can do 100% on my 1.75" circles.
I have a red dot the others, but I can't put one on this Victor w/o spending more money than is equitable.
It will have to be my non-optic best gun.
If I get into a "grove," I could take the red dots off the others to be a fair fight.
I shot another member's Hi-Standard 107 Military model months ago engaging my radar.

I used only CCI SV b/c not to use HV with these (like the SW 41).
But, not 1 cloverleaf today, which is what I was hoping for from this gun.
Maybe Zackcz is right: it's me. :lmfao:

Out of 190 rds, I did have:
    -4 FTEject
    -3 Not fully chamber
This is a .0368 failure rate, which is "normal," but I want perfection from a machine, but that doesn't seem possible when dealing with a .22LR & using bulk ammo, even decent ammo like CCI SV.
But, I was told through a factory rep that 2/10 will be flyers statistically.

Gun was not cleaned after it's last range visit unknown years ago, so I used Ballistol & some Lucas Gun Oil on it & ran a snake through to freshen in up.

These were the 1st 30 rds on 3.75" circles to see if the rear sights were close.
Not impressed yet since I have many guns that group this well.
Circle 2 began to get my attention.
1st day pic left side w1st rds on 3.75in.jpg

I was adjusting the rear sights on this page.
Did as well as my top 4 guns.
All 21' on 1.75" circles while adjusting the rear sights (just a little low & right for my eyes).
I was looking for cloverleafs, but maybe my eyes aren't capable.
    Range 6.16.2020 1st day 1st full page all 21 ft.jpg

2nd page at 21' with the last row at 30', just for fun.
Gun shows potential, but perhaps when I paint the front sight I'll improve.
Maybe I'd have to use some better ammo I've been hoarding for a special gun or rifle that is worthy, haha! :dunno:

Kind of a neat pistol. I had one. Some were made in New Hampshire I think. Then later resurrected in TX maybe? Most of the models were specifically for bulls eye competition, there was an "Olympic" model that had sexy bbl. Weights and only shot shorts. The Victor was cool looking but couldn't really functionally hang with the S&W 41s.
Bbl attachment was weird-some kind of button headed stud that would get out of line and pfft you were done. All in all a pretty cool piece.

2nd time with Hi-Standard Victory Military
200 rds today with Aguila Super Extra standard velocity, 40 grain, SLN.

Field Stripped & cleaned & lubed yesterday.
"Plunger" is supposed to be hard to engage, but I followed directions on tapping it with a small plastic/rubber hammer & using the corner of a desk to disengage the barrel.
I am puzzled on how to retrieve what I'd call the guide rod & spring & HS calls another name.
Can't find any vids on it.
Later, I'll start a thread asking for help from the High Standard owners!

    1687289591274.png

Changed distance on 45' target so I had to adjust for 30' & then back to 21' on this one.
    1687289628679.png

    45' just for fun.
POA on upper left was center.
POA on upper right was bottom of 5.75" circle.
POA on middle circle was using Kentucky windage, haha!
POA on bottom was after adjusting sights, but didn't get low or right enough.
    1687289659499.png

Finally, the coveted Cloverleaf achieved: a rarity for me, haha!
