I need to invest in a flatbed.
Now $3,500. Please PM with any questions and you can also search CL for a couple more pics. Thanks.
From CL ad:
For your consideration is a 97 Chevrolet 3500 with Western Plow. The body is actually very clean, but the tailgate is starting to fail due to rust. It has an automatic transmission, and power windows and locks.
The Good:
-4x4 works well.
-Very little body rust. The tailgate is starting to go though.
-Plow works great.
-Heat works.
-All new brake lines.
-Like new spare tire.
The Bad:
-No A/C
-Overdrive is out. We drove this daily in 3rd with no issues.
-Driver Door, as of last week, only opens from the outside. You have to roll down the window to open for now, but should be an easy fix.
-Could use 2 new front tires.
-I had the power steering pump replaced, but it is starting to whine again and sometimes "catches" at low rpm's.
-Speedo does not work, but Tach does. May be a sensor issue.
It's not a perfect truck by any means, but this makes an excellent affordable plow truck. To be a true daily driver, it could use a tune up, new front tires and the overdrive fixed.
These pics are fairly current, but it now has lettering on the bed that is easily removed. I can email/text more pics on request. Thanks for looking.
