10/22 Takedown

I am going to have to check out this Sugru-type plastic pellet stuff. It's sounds pretty cool. I am doing to check it out. Thanks for the tip. I bet it has a lot of uses!

It's neat stuff. I got about a pound of it for $8 at Radio Shack. Could be useful for sculpted tool handles or a variety of things.

Hanging after my first coat of tru-oil...someone could've warned me how sticky this stuff was. Seriously, it's like honey that won't wash off.

Not a bad-looking piece of work. Now to put together a classier case for it.

very nice work. great gap between barrel and action. what kind of barrel band is that? for a bipod? looks much better than the plastic one you showed me.

It's from Promag...it's got rails on one side and the bottom, and a sling mount on the third side. I've got a Sampsonite 100-series slim attache case coming that I'll fill with foam and line with whatever swanky cloth is on sale at the fabric store. I think I can fit my 10/22 TD, scope, 5 magazines, my Ruger .22/45, spare mag and a couple ammo wallets into it.

Awesome. Way better then the poly stock! Should be even neater in the case!
