    I just recieved 2 John Mason compensators for my 10/22s from midway USA. Part # 183530 (18.49 each)

    I put them on my guns and they really fit well, they slip on the end of the barrel around the front sight and they are held on with a set screw.

    I have read that you should replace the set screw that they send with them so I plan to do that.

    I don't expect it to really make a difference in the way the guns shoot but I think that they look neat.

    They look more black then the pictures and I'm sure that you could have them powder coated but to answer your question the do come in stainless.
