While this is technically second hand information, I thought I'd pass it on to the INGO brethren due to the fact that it comes from a good friend of mind who is very firearm savvy. I trust my old friend's opinion so I'm letting you all see his warning to me;
"Put COMBATHUNTING.COM on your "don't bother" list.
The $176 scope on sale for $30 turned out to be a $53 MSRP scope with a street
price of $40. It is made by Aim Sports. (they OEM for other brands mostly) At
least I didn't pay too much for it. However, I wasn't as lucky on the tactical
rails I bought for my Mossberg 500 and Ruger 10/22. They didn't give the
manufacturer's name on these either (that should have clued me in. They are UTG
(Leapers). They were on sale for $15, regular price $30. Well, the MSRP is $10
and I found them on sale for $8. Sounds like a Don's Guns scam. Buy cheap
Chinese junk and call it "tactical" gear and sell it for retail plus prices."
So there 'ya have it!!!
