    I'm in the same boat as most of you. Looking for the wildcat option to take advantage of the 1.8" case length change. I also shoot a .44 mag carbine currently but the potential for a 300-400 yd shot does present itself occasionally and i am hesitant to take that shot with the mag. Unless something unique pops up, the .358 wssm options out there today with the 1.625" case are solid. 12" drop at 300 with 200 zero, 2700 fps from the muzzle (give or take based on powder and bullet weight) with significant fpe downrange. That and the load data is out there, tested, tried and proven for a few years. Dies are becoming readily available etc..... just thinking out loud.
