      I'm wanting to buy a 91/30 mosin nagant and I'm wondering where I could buy one around Jeffersonville without having to go to lousiville or go to far out. Any ideas? I've heard of keisler's but they say they only sell to military/law enforcement.

      8mm Mauser or Mosin-Nagant

      I've got a hankering to put a synthetic stock on an old (read inexpensive) military rifle. I have an 8mm Mauser VZ24 and enjoy shooting it. I also see great feedback on the Mosin. If I were to put a synthetic stock with and integrated scope mount on a gun, which one would you recommend?

      i have a m44, with 350 rounds & original sling. numbers all match. and is in good shape for a wwII rifle. bolt is nice and tight, i have only fired this about 50x, so don't know a round count. located on east side. , pic should be at this link.

      Mosin 91/30 cheaper than an M44?

      Why is it that you can find 91/30's so much cheaper than M44's? Maybe has to do with availability? The 91/30 is more accurate and more bang for your buck IMHO. I own both and I like my 91/30 a lot more. Nothing like toting a full size battle rifle with extended bayonet around the farm :)
