Ok for the carrying the gun in the lower back, not a good idea. Too far to go to reach my gun quickly, back problems are sure to come from the lower back carry.
ALSO first thing anyone is going to take from you when you are in a dangerous situation is your purse. So I never EVER would carry...

When I have had an awful start to my day so far, this song made me smile. I think it should be the forum theme song, I know it now is mine.
Thanks for the helpful advice! I am thinking I will buy the shotgun, I have really been wanting one. I get a good vibe from the fellow, and I think that he and his wife need extra money to move her back home while he is deployed. :) T
Really, ok well although rat is not high on my food desires list...I would still cook one and eat it if I was hungry enough. PETA needs to get over this, animals are food...not friends (think Dory on Finding Nemo, but reversed).
Yeah I admit, if I was in that situation I would do the same as this lady...no way am I going to become a victim of a crazy man trying to break into my house while I am alone. If it is him or me, it is going to be the criminal that dies.
You can always do like me and scan the forum late at night ;) lol ADD is a deadly thing when it comes to concentrating on college homework...nose back to the grindstone now. :(

I love love love my ruger LCP for carry. My man Indecision bought me a crossbreed conceal carry holster and wow that fits so nicely into my wardrobe/feels so lite to carry I hardly can tell it is there most of the time.
Ok I have a customer at my store (let me clarify my boss does not buy guns or allow me to buy guys for the store but I get guys bringing in guns occasionally to try and sell them to me), a soldier who is about to deploy and he has been trying to sell me (personally) his shotgun for a few months...
I am thinking a used bow is the best. I am just going to have to keep looking around for good deals, I don't think I want to spend more then 350 right out the door.
I don't know where to find a mentor around here. I am just getting into an MMA class, so maybe one of them will know someone. I went from Dicks to Gander, Gander in Fayetteville had a much more knowledgable staff and a much better way of testing me and my draw weight. I shot around 45 lb draw...
