Try 39 to 42 grains of 4895 w/S 168 -1/2 grain increments
Then in .1 grain increments .
You just have to find the load for your barrel.
It takes a lot weighting powder, but the only way .:welcome:
A Dillion 1000 in 223 did that with Rem 7 1/2 primers.
The metal primer tube held and I was not hurt ( ears ringing like hell ) .
The funniest thing was the cat that was sleeping about 5 feet from me flying thru the air . It would not go into reloading room for about 6 months .
Make sure...
I like S & W 442 's better.
I've got 36,Colt Det Spl, Charter 38, and 60 . I carry the 442 with +P 125 JHP. It is lighter and fits in pockets better than the others.
They are all backups to my 1911 ( the ONLY gun to carry for real ) .:rockwoot:
Ar in 9mm, Glocks, Sigs . NOT Camp 9
The Marlin camp 9mm has too light of bolt and you get a LOT of port noise. I know because I made one (with Gemtech Trinity ) and do not like it . 115 grain bullets that are sub-sonic help but still not the best . I normally shoot a 147 fmj with 3.8 Bullseye...
230 FMJ 45 ACP reloads cost about $210/K to make .
You might think about a Dillion and reloading .:patriot:
Case $50
Pri $20
Pwd $20
Bullet $120
If you are close to Bloomington, I'll help ya get started .:):
