      Good review. I have waited and watched the SIG 556R thru 2 generations and glad to see that the effort was worth it. I bought a PTR32 instead, considering the problems of the 1st generation 556R.

      AK with modern sights (iron and glass), barrel twist, and ammo. Surplus ammo is ok for practice.

      All good choices. I would make do with what I have in my hands at the time, and if it quits for whatever reason, find something else. There are millions of firearms in this country. lol Should not be a problem to find one along the way. I have owned and do own most of the choices...
